Night time Babbles
It's quarter to twelve and I have been fighting with my printer for about half an hour just so I could scan my newly acquired teaching certificate and put it into my applications for teaching positions. My computer is restarting for the second time because the installer stopped working and I am about ready to scream. I did manage to get the thing scanned but I want the f-ing thing to do what it's supposed to do and find a computer over the WiFi to save to and not have to be plugged in all the time. GARRRRAAARRG! Seriously.
Anyway, the reason that little rant is here is because I realized it has been a while and I felt the need to write something even if it's neither teacher or pagan related. I've been unemployed and not in school for over a solid month now, and I'm starting to get bored...and broke. I have a small gig tutoring with a great local company, which is awesome don't get me wrong, but it doesn't exactly pay the bills. So I've decided to try and get myself into a schedule. Get up earlier than I have been (ie around 8 or 9), eat breakfast and then go to work planning out units to use in the future for around 1-3 hours. Then exercise or walk the dog for an hour or so and have lunch somewhere in there. Then do some personal writing, whether it be blog, novel, or fanfiction, just get some writing done for 1-3 hours. And then the rest of the day is for play or tutoring. Hopefully this plan will get going soon, but at the moment it feels like it will be a bit challenging because of my very messed up sleep cycle. Such is life. So far I've decided to start with a novel study on either The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Road, or The Glass Castle. One was suggested to me by a student another was something I read with a tutoring student, and another was one another teacher suggested. The one downside is that I haven't actually ever read either The Road or The Glass Castle. So in order to create a unit plan for those, I have some serious reading to do. Which, to tell the truth, I'm not really complaining about. I love to read. Anyway, the point is I'm trying to find ways to be productive while unemployed. I hope it works.
Sadly, I think that's all I got tonight.
Cheers
