Wayward Newlyweds – Day 24: Lunenburg/Fredericton

They put it in WHAT??

I woke up at the announcement that we were an hour out of Sydney. It was about 6:30am or so, so I dozed for a while, until I was really awake. I got up and changed clothes, and got more or less ready to go. Around 7:15am I woke Dodd up so he would have a chance to be awake when we had to get off the boat. We had both had a much better sleep than the first time we had done this. We were actually one of the first three cars to get off the ferry as we were right near the front of the boat, and we were ready to go at the right time.
Once again we found a Tim’s and got some coffee. We decided to head over to Lunenburg, where we had tried to go before getting on the first ferry. We got there at around 1:30pm or so. Sadly the Bluenose was not in the harbour. But we had a good wander through the Marine Museum and learned some interesting ‘Fish Facts.’ I will never look at lipstick the same way again…We then had some lunch at the restaurant attached to the museum, did some tourist shopping, and then headed back on the road toward New Brunswick.
We decided to book a hotel again to be able to drive a bit father and not have to worry about setting up in the dark. We had a nice night at the Fredericton Best Western, did some sink laundry, and filled up our water bottles with ice. I have to say it was really nice to have a real bed again.
